THAI SALADS:
Similar to salads in the West, Thai salads are prepared with fresh herbs and greens. Different from salads in the West, they generally feature chopped meats. A Thai salad is not normally served as an entrée. Rather, it is eaten as one of the main dishes in a family-style Thai meal, usually alongside rice.

We grill, year-round, outside our front door on grills made in Aon’s village near Chiang Mai city. We import sustainable fruitwood and coconut shell charcoal to give the flavor of Thailand here at Thī̀ Nī̀̀ in Oberlin, Ohio

Saa:
A northern Thai specialty generally prepared at home, as well as a Thai drinking food. Spicy, flavorful, and herbaceous. Goes great with sticky rice or a cold Chang beer.

Laap Chiang Mai
Laap Chiang Mai is different from the more commonly known Isaan style. Northern laap is made from minced meats and blended with a complex mixture of dry spices, aromatics, cracklings, and crispy fried garlic and shallot.

However, we are only taking walk in orders for takeout and not yet taking orders over the phone!
To get a table at ThiNi Thai we recommend getting in line early or using the Yelp app. The Yelp app allows you to notify us your desire to get a table much like you would notify a host at a restaurant. The app is active starting at 5:00pm. If you use Yelp to get in line we will send you a text letting you know that we received you request and you will receive a second text when your table is ready. From that point we will hold your table for 10 minutes. This app is effective within a thirty mile radius of Thini Thai. Please note that while the app is pretty smart it isn’t perfect and is still learning what our actual times are for a table. To get a more accurate wait time for a table we recommend texting us after you receive your first notification, this will allow us to open a line of communication.
Regarding Carryout and lunch:
We are currently choosing to offer carryout only for walk in orders in an effort to give our in house guests the best possible experience. We are not yet able to accommodate phone in orders. We are working to expand our carryout offerings and offer lunch in the near future. T
